Job Description

About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert, ensuring the seamless operation of critical commercial kitchen and building systems. You will enjoy autonomy in the field, utilizing your diagnostic skills to resolve complex equipment issues and maintain high performance standards across a local service territory. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and install a wide range of commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment to ensure operational uptime. Execute preventative maintenance schedules to proactively identify and resolve potential system failures. Manage service requests efficiently, adhering to established timelines while providing high-quality technical solutions. Coordinate with manufacturers and technical support teams to streamline complex repairs and part identification. Maintain precise documentation of all service activities, including work orders, inventory management, and time reporting. Uphold rigorous safety standards and accident prevention protocols during all onsite service visits. Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with evolving equipment technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in trade-related maintenance or facility systems. Hold a current EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex technical diagrams and schematics. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a service vehicle. Proficiency in using mobile applications for service reporting and basic computer software. Preferred Skills Formal training from a technical trade school or equivalent vocational program. Experience working with commercial kitchen "hot side" cooking equipment. Demonstrated success in a field-based role requiring independent decision-making. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing a positive, service-oriented experience for clients.
