We're building a team of reliable, detail-oriented technicians who take pride in delivering quality work. The Role As a Field Service Technician in Bailey, CO, you'll be the boots on the ground (literally) — servicing and maintaining self-storage facilities across the Park County area. You'll work independently, manage your own schedule, and take ownership of the properties you maintain. This role is perfect for someone who likes working with their hands, being outdoors, and doesn't want to sit behind a desk. What You'll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on self-storage facilities including unit doors, locks, latches, and hardware
  • Conduct property walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards
  • Complete minor repairs including patching, painting, caulking, and general touch-ups
  • Maintain grounds, common areas, hallways, and exterior property appearance
  • Clean and prepare vacant storage units for new tenants (sweeping, debris removal, sanitization)
  • Document completed work and report property conditions through photos and written updates
  • Communicate with the Boots and Mortar team regarding repair needs, supply requests, and scheduling
  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and property management expectations What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Some college coursework or currently enrolled in a degree program (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation (required — you'll be driving to job sites)
  • Comfortable with physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and general maintenance concepts
  • Strong attention to detail — the quality of your work reflects directly on our company
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and communication
  • Smartphone with camera for documentation and communication
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial, construction, landscaping, or property management
  • Familiarity with self-storage operations
  • OSHA safety awareness or any trade certifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus in the Park County market What's In It for You
