Currently, we have a Field (Technical) Service Technician job opportunity for our Manufacturing client, based in Golden, who specializes in providing products used in water infrastructure. This position requires extensive traveling, and this is a Direct Hire opportunity. •Due to the need to travel with limited notice, seeking a candidate who lives in Colorado, no more than 45 minutes away from the DIA airport. Travel will be required 90% of the time. May be onsite at the Golden location when needed, too. Travel is mostly in the USA, however some international travel could be required. A corporate credit card will be issued to be used for all travel expenses including airfare and car rental. You will be required to track and provide receipts for expenses on a regular basis. Shift /
Hours:
Seeking flexibility - most hours will be day shift, but some emergency repairs could require evening/night shift hours. Typically, you will know your schedule on the Friday before the following work week, but it is often Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.
Pay Range:
$32.00 to $39.00/hr,
DOE General Summary:
Services products and equipment as assigned. Starts up, identifies, analyzes, and repairs instruments and products at customer's location. Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, installations and modifications as needed or requested by customers, performs operator and maintenance training at customer site. Troubleshoot basic control circuits. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation & Maintenance:
Install, commission, and maintain water/wastewater treatment systems, pumps, valves, PLCs, HMIs, Controls, and related components.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and resolve operational and process issues with mechanical, electrical, and chemical treatment systems.
Field Support:
Liaise with customers to provide on-site technical support, site surveys, inspections, maintenance of our equipment for water/wastewater treatment facilities and provide feedback to Business Units for continuous improvement.
Customer Training:
Educate clients on proper equipment use, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders, and provide detailed reports on equipment performance and issues.
Education:
Associate or bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or mechanical/electrical technology, OR 5+ years of related field experience.
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years technical training in Controls/Programming. 3-5+ years operation/troubleshooting experience in Water and/or Wastewater industry 3 - 5 years of Field Service experience Experience with ISO9001 requirements is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of Water/Wastewater treatment processes, pumps, motors, SCADA systems, PLC/HMI products and associated programming Thorough electrical knowledge of Control Panels and VFDs. Ability to read and understand mechanical and technical drawings. Excellent written and verbal skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task. Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs or more, and perform manual labor Seeking 'start up' (new machinery installation) and mechanic/maintenance experience in the hydro / water infrastructure industry.
