Competitive pay based on experience Join Our Team! We are seeking experienced and motivated Water Mitigation Technicians to assist with emergency water damage response and property restoration. This position is ideal for individuals with restoration, construction, or mitigation experience who enjoy hands-on work and helping customers recover from unexpected property damage. A Water Mitigation Technician is responsible for responding to water damage incidents in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Their primary role is to minimize damage caused by water intrusion, flooding, pipe breaks, or leaks by removing water, drying affected areas, and preventing mold growth. Key Responsibilities Assess the extent of water damage and develop an effective mitigation plan. Extract standing water using specialized pumps, vacuums, and restoration equipment. Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment. Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, insulation, and other unsalvageable contents. Perform moisture monitoring and record accurate readings throughout the drying process. Document job progress, equipment usage, and restoration activities. Communicate professionally with property owners, insurance adjusters, and restoration team members. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards. Participate in emergency response services, including after-hours and on-call assignments as needed. Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills Water extraction and removal using pumps, vacuums, and specialized equipment. Structural drying techniques for walls, floors, ceilings, and contents. Moisture detection and monitoring using moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, and hygrometers. Mold prevention and remediation awareness. Understanding of building materials and construction methods. Knowledge of IICRC standards and industry best practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. (REQUIRED) Ability to set up and monitor dehumidifiers and air movers. Proper handling of contaminated water (Category 2 and Category 3 losses). Additional Qualifications Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and move equipment, perform demolition tasks, and work in varying environments. IICRC Certifications are a plus but not required.
