Role Description This full-time, on-site Mitigation Technician role is based in Clinton, CT. The Mitigation Technician is responsible for responding to property damage incidents, setting up and monitoring drying equipment, and performing water, fire, mold, and storm damage cleanup according to company standards and safety protocols. Daily tasks include assessing damage, removing affected materials, documenting work with photos and notes, and maintaining clean, organized job sites. The role involves regular interaction with customers, explaining the mitigation process, and working collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and professionally. Technicians may be required to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to support emergency responses. Qualifications Ability to perform physical tasks safely, including lifting, carrying equipment, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Strong attention to detail and basic documentation skills for recording job activities, taking photos, and following written procedures. Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and clearly with property owners and team members. Dependable work habits, including punctuality, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions and company protocols. Willingness to work in various environments affected by water, fire, mold, and storms, and to use appropriate personal protective equipment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to travel to job sites as needed. Prior experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is beneficial but not required; relevant training or certifications (e.g., IICRC) are a plus.
