Job Description

NOW HIRING - WATER METER INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS
National Metering Services, Inc. (NMS) is seeking motivated, dependable Water Meter Installation Technicians to join our growing team. This is a full-time hourly position with performance incentives, company-provided vehicles, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. This is NOT a subcontractor position, NOT a 1099 arrangement, and NOT a "pay-your-own-expenses" installation job. We provide the equipment, support, and resources needed to succeed. Minimum Requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record High School Diploma or GED Legal authorization to work in the United States Criminal background check required Pre-employment drug screening required Reliable communication and cell phone required for work-related communications and mobile application use Must provide basic hand tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to interact professionally with customers and the public Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly Company Provided Company vehicle Fuel card Toll pass Specialty tools and project-specific equipment Safety equipment Training and project support Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Residential and commercial water meter replacement Radio transmitter (AMR/AMI endpoint) installation and testing Light plumbing repairs associated with meter replacement Ground and site restoration following installation Accurate completion of hardcopy and electronic work orders Installation photography and project documentation Reading and recording water meter readings accurately Identifying water service line and plumbing materials Operating mobile applications and electronic work management systems Working safely around active water services and customer properties Providing courteous, professional customer service Attending required safety meetings and project training sessions Maintaining OSHA-compliant work practices and procedures Following all company safety policies and utility requirements Who We Are Looking For We are looking for dependable individuals who take pride in their work, can work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and understand the importance of safety, quality, and accurate documentation.
