Field Service Technician Hialeah, FL 33014 $25

  • Full-time Position Overview The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team (most commonly in groups of 2 to 4 technicians).
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from job sites and the Miami office. Work locations are generally customer sites throughout the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area and, in some cases, the West Palm Beach area. Occasionally, technicians will report to the Miami office. Job Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various automated devices and systems, including robots, conveyors, safety gates, and related equipment. Install and modify electrical equipment, including relays, drives, and other control components. Install and modify mechanical equipment, including limit switches, sprockets, chains, electric motors, and, in some cases, hydraulic equipment. Document completed work using written reports and photographs in standard Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel. Maintain records of spare parts and materials and request orders as needed. Day-to-Day Operations Support Technicians support daily site operations by performing physical device inspections and remotely monitoring systems through company software.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to system transaction errors in real time. Providing system information and support to other ParkPlus teams as needed. Completing visual inspections and checklists of devices and the system environment. On-Call Support Technicians are required to participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation on a pre-determined schedule shared among team members. The typical rotation is two weeks on and two weeks off. Most on-call support is performed remotely using a company-issued laptop. When issues cannot be resolved remotely, technicians are required to travel to the site to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Training Program Newly hired candidates will begin employment in a training program that typically lasts approximately six months. During this period, candidates will work alongside experienced team members and be trained on all required job functions and system operations. Preferred Experience The ideal candidate has experience working with automated systems in an industrial environment. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field). Ability to read electrical schematics and/or mechanical drawings. Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience. Control panel assembly experience is a plus. Experience working with electric motors. PLC experience is a plus. Networking and communication experience. English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
