Quality Equipment & Parts, Inc. (QEP) is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be based out of our Lake City, FL office. The Field Service Technician overhauls, repairs, and services equipment. They determine and repair problems or issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, or structural systems. Their job involves working with heavy equipment to inspect, service, and repair any damage as needed. Applicants should have some experience with heavy equipment repair so they can determine parts and tools necessary for repairs.
Summary:
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostics and along with following through with repairs. Inspect and perform needed preventative maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues with diesel engines. Perform work in accordance with established safety procedures. Accounts for all time in company systems and for all material used in performing assigned duties. Advise customers on equipment. Work well with and around others. Perform other maintenance related work as assigned. Qualifications Two years of previous heavy equipment experience, desired. Possess own tools to be fully self-sufficient while on jobsite. Excellent mechanical abilities, with a detailed understanding of the engine, power train, hydraulics, as well as the ability to read electrical schematics on all electrical systems. Candidate will receive training on manufacturer-specific procedures. Welding experience is required. Divers License required- The employee must have a valid driver's license to drive their personal vehicle or a company vehicle as required by the employer to various worksite locations Class A CDL, a plus.
