Job Description
Ice House America, LLC (IHA) is on the lookout for a Field Refurbishment Technician. At IHA, we foster an atmosphere where customers, collaboration, innovation and teamwork are at the forefront of our success. As a key member of our team, the Field Refurbishment Technician is responsible for completing field refurbishment, upgrade, repair, and installation work on IHA machines at customer and company locations. This role requires strong hands-on technical ability, attention to detail, safe work habits, and a customer-focused approach while traveling to support projects across the United States. When not traveling, this position may support refurbishment, upgrade, and related project work at the Moultrie, Georgia facility.
Main responsibilities:
Field Refurbishment and Upgrade Work:
Perform field refurbishment, upgrade, repair, and installation work on IHA machines at customer sites and company locations. Complete quoted and assigned work on schedule while meeting quality, safety, and workmanship expectations. Perform basic structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finish-related work, including parts replacement, troubleshooting, graphics, panels, and related machine improvements. Support deployment and installation of upgrade technologies, equipment modifications, and customer-specific project work. Inspect completed work to confirm machines are clean, functional, and aligned with IHA quality standards before leaving the site.Travel and Customer Site Support:
Travel extensively, estimated up to 75%, to support field projects across the United States. Represent IHA professionally while working at customer locations, including maintaining a professional appearance and strong customer service approach. Communicate job status, technical issues, delays, parts needs, and follow-up items clearly and timely to the appropriate team members. Work independently in the field while using sound judgment, urgency, and problem-solving skills to keep work moving forward.Documentation, Tools, and Coordination:
Use company systems and tools to document work completed, job status, parts used, site conditions, and required follow-up. Coordinate with Refurbishment, Parts, Vending Operations, Customer Service, Technical Support, and other internal teams to support project execution. Maintain tools, materials, vehicles, and work areas in an organized and professional manner. Assist with similar refurbishment, upgrade, repair, or production support work at the Moultrie facility when not assigned to field travel.Safety and Quality:
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices. Operate with attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship on every job. Identify and communicate opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, documentation, or field execution processes.Additional Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in field service, refurbishment, construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, equipment repair, or a related hands-on technical field preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain an applicable medical card, as required. Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to approximately 75%. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company-specific systems, tools, and documentation processes. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or other relevant technical certifications are a plus. CDL license, or willingness to pursue a CDL license, is a plus. Military experience is encouraged and valued. Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, kneel, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions as required by the job.
