Senior Field Service Technician

Southeast Industrial Equipment, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Technician to join our service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of material handling equipment at customer locations while providing advanced technical expertise and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has strong experience working on electric and internal combustion forklifts, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment at customer facilities Perform advanced electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and engine diagnostics Complete planned maintenance and safety inspections efficiently and accurately Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed Communicate repair recommendations and equipment concerns directly with customers Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics Utilize laptop diagnostics and manufacturer software programs Maintain accurate service reports, labor entries, and parts documentation Ensure company service vehicle is properly maintained and stocked Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures Provide after-hours or emergency service support as required Qualifications 5+ years of forklift, heavy equipment, automotive, diesel, or related technician experience preferred Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and drive systems Experience with Toyota forklifts or material handling equipment preferred Ability to independently diagnose complex equipment issues Excellent troubleshooting and time management skills Strong customer service and communication abilities Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor environments Technical school or manufacturer certifications are a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company service van Overtime opportunities Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Paid vacation and holidays Ongoing manufacturer training and career advancement opportunities Stable company with long-term growth opportunities For more information visit: www.sielift.com
