Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a SERVPRO Technician, where you will play a vital role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, mold, biohazards, and other disasters. SERVPRO is widely recognized as the leading restoration and mitigation brand in the United States, particularly known for its extensive franchise network and rapid response to water, fire, and mold damage. With over 2,300 locations, it is frequently cited as the top restoration franchise for residential and commercial customers. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced restoration techniques, while utilizing demolition and specialty cleaning skills. As a key player in our restoration industry team, you'll help clients recover from challenging situations while developing your expertise in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Your proactive attitude and dedication will contribute to transforming distressed spaces into safe, healthy environments for our customers. Access to proprietary digital learning systems and training is provided, as well as hands-on job training. Duties-Include, but not limited to: Begin work at the Statesboro warehouse, perform vehicle/equipment/supply checklists per protocol, and launch to jobs you are assigned for the day Perform demolition, cleaning, and restoration services for fire, water, mold, biohazard, and other-affected properties using specialized equipment and techniques Utilize hand tools and power tools to remove affected debris and prepare sites for reconstruction or further treatment Conduct mold remediation and procedures following safety protocols and industry standards Assist with construction-related tasks such as drywall removal, flooring removal, and potentially minor repairs to restore properties to their original condition Operate carpet cleaning equipment and perform detailed cleaning to ensure thorough sanitation of affected areas Document all work performed accurately and communicate progress effectively with team members and clients Follow safety guidelines diligently to maintain a secure work environment during all restoration activities Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or specialty cleaning is a benefit, but not required and may lead to higher starting pay Knowledge of fire restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other mitigation processes benefit but not required Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment benefit but not required Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding situations involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills Valid driver's license required within six months of employment; ability to travel locally as needed Must pass background test Must be legal to work in the US• Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety protocols at all times
