Job Summary The Field Equipment Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing bottleless water systems, water softeners, ice machines, and coffee equipment in both commercial and residential environments. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The Service Technician serves as a key representative of the company in the field, ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting team and company goals. Essential Job Responsibilities 1. Installation & Service Operations Complete assigned installation, maintenance, and service routes in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Diagnose equipment issues and perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance. Install bottleless water systems, filtration equipment, ice machines, coffee machines, and related products according to company standards. Ensure all installations and repairs meet quality and safety requirements. 2. Customer Service & Communication Professionally interact with customers and provide exceptional service during all appointments. Answer customer questions regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and service recommendations. 3. Inventory & Documentation Management Maintain accurate service records using company-provided paperless and paper-based systems. Ensure proper handling and accountability of company tools, equipment, and vehicle inventory. Report inventory needs and equipment issues promptly. 4. Safety & Compliance Promote and practice proper safety procedures in all work environments. Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations. Keep work areas, vehicles, and equipment clean and organized. Required Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members. Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Education and Experience High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Technical, trade, or vocational school training preferred. Previous experience in equipment installation, maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, or a related field preferred.
EPA HVAC
Certification preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach. Ability to work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
