We operate like a family and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. We are hiring a hands-on Mitigation Lead Technician to help run water and mold mitigation projects. This is not just a labor position. We need someone who can lead helpers, inspect water damage, help identify the likely leak source, set up drying equipment, perform demo and cleaning, document the job properly, and communicate professionally with homeowners. The right person must be reliable, respectful, willing to help where needed, and able to keep jobs moving without the owner being onsite all day. Typical Day Most days will include checking one or two active mitigation jobs, setting up new water or mold mitigation projects, leading demo and cleaning work, documenting job progress, making material lists, and setting up or monitoring drying equipment.
Daily work may include:
Visit active water or mold mitigation jobs Inspect water-damaged areas and identify the likely source of the leak or water intrusion Check plumbing fixtures, supply lines, drain lines, appliances, walls, ceilings, windows, roofs, and exterior areas when needed Let management know when a plumber, roofer, HVAC tech, or other trade is needed Take moisture readings and update moisture maps Set up containments, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and air movers Lead demo work such as drywall, flooring, baseboard, cabinet, and ceiling removal Perform or supervise HEPA vacuuming, damp wiping, cleaning, and antimicrobial application Take clear photos and videos before, during, and after work Write daily job notes and upload documentation Make material and supply lists for each job Check equipment operation and drying progress Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized Help load, unload, clean, and organize tools and equipment Communicate job status, issues, and next steps to the owner Follow company procedures and IICRC-style water/mold mitigation practices Customer Communication This position requires good communication skills. You will often speak with homeowners, tenants, property managers, and other workers on site.
You must be able to:
Speak clearly and respectfully with homeowners Explain the work being done in simple terms Let customers know what areas are affected Give basic updates on drying, demo, cleaning, and next steps Stay calm with upset or stressed homeowners Communicate job issues to management right away Avoid making promises about insurance coverage, final pricing, or exact cause Represent the company in a professional way Keep conversations respectful, even under pressure Requirements Water mitigation or restoration experience preferred Ability to lead 1-2 helpers in the field Ability to perform physical demo and cleaning work Basic understanding of moisture meters, drying equipment, and containment setup Comfortable using a smartphone/app to take photos, videos, notes, and upload job documentation Good communication skills Good documentation habits Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation Able to safely drive a company vehicle after probation period Able to lift equipment and materials Able to work in hot, dirty, wet, or damaged environments Able to pass a basic background check if required by property managers or clients Preferred Experience
IICRC WRT
certification Mold remediation experience Water damage mitigation experience Fire/smoke cleanup experience Experience with photos, notes, moisture maps, and job documentation Experience working with homeowners, property managers, or insurance-related jobs What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, clean, respectful, and able to think ahead. The right person does not need to know everything, but they must be willing to learn, follow directions, lead by example, help where needed, and take pride in doing clean work. Because we are a small company, attitude matters. We need someone who works well with a close team and treats the company, customers, tools, vehicles, and job sites with respect. Compensation Pay starts at $35/hr for qualified lead technicians.
