Job Description

Our Mechanical Field Service Specialist (FSS) is a customer-facing role dedicated to assisting in the sales and technical support of our hydraulic products in the marketplace. This is base in our Fort Dodge, Iowa location. The Field Service Support Specialist assists customers to determine their needs, provides product training or retraining, develops and maintains relationships with customers, works on equipment while providing guidance on best practice in the use of, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Responsibilities:
Builds relationships with customers to provide technical support in an effort to build customer competency and confidence with product, team, and FORCE America.

Facilitates hands-on, individual, or group product training for our customer base.

Develops training materials on product function, maintenance, and repair.

Assists with technical needs development, resolutions, and making physical changes to products and applications in the field.

Travels to customers to support needs to determine and/or implement most appropriate resolutions or installations.

Assists in trade shows, customer visits, and product demonstrations as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.

Associates Degree in Fluid Power, Mechatronics, Mechanic or equivalent combination of years of experience and education highly preferred.

Strong mechanical ability to be able to teach and coach others.

Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).Work experience in fluid power, highly preferred.
