A Field Service Technician services and repairs equipment and machines in a variety of customer locations such as residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Workers in this field can specialize in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of industrial, hardware, construction or electronic equipment just to name a few. These roles may work in a variety of remote locations and can travel up to multiple locations in a day.
Field Service Technician - Chimney & Home Services VANTOR is growing in the Boise / Treasure Valley area and is looking for reliable, hands-on field technicians who want strong earning potential and the opportunity to grow with a performance-driven home service company. Previous chimney experience is not required. Experience in handyman work, construction, roofing, HVAC, maintenance, remodeling, property services, or other hands-on trades is a strong plus.
COMPENSATION
This is performance-based compensation, not a traditional hourly position. Technicians generally earn 25%-35% of collected job revenue, depending on the job source and scope. Weekly earning potential may range from approximately $600 to $5,000+, depending on job volume, completed job value, availability, skill level, and the types of work performed. Earnings are variable and are not guaranteed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Travel to scheduled residential appointments throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley Perform approved chimney, venting, and related home services based on your training and qualifications Complete chimney cleanings, inspections, dryer vent cleaning, and other approved field services Inspect work areas and identify visible issues that may need attention Take clear before-and-after photos and document job findings Communicate professionally and honestly with homeowners Explain findings and recommended next steps without high-pressure sales tactics Protect the customer's home and leave the work area clean Follow VANTOR safety, documentation, and job-completion standards Keep the office updated when jobs are completed or additional support is needed

GOOD BACKGROUNDS FOR THIS ROLE
