Job Description

Thorn Creek Hydraulics is a small family owned and operated business serving the Magic and Wood River Valleys. We are currently looking for a dependable, self-motivated, and mechanical minded heavy equipment field technician to join our growing business. Candidates must have a valid class A or B CDL, be able to pass drug screens, and have a willingness to work in the field. In this role you will diagnose, service, and repair all makes and types of heavy equipment, medium and heavy-duty trucks, and aggregate equipment. Diagnostic laptops and tooling will be provided, but it is required that you have your own basic to advanced set of tools, and at least some hydraulic testing equipment such as gauges. You will work directly with customers, clients, and operators, and should have strong communication skills and time management skills. You will need to understand how to use Microsoft programs, CAT ET, Cummins Insite, and other diagnostic programs. On the job training can be provided for these programs. Some examples of the work we perform; Hydraulic/hydrostatic troubleshooting and repair Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair. Mobile air conditioning service and repair. Diesel engine repair. Air brake service. You must have a minimum of two years of experience as a technician, have a clean driving record, reliable means of transportation, have a willingness to learn, along with a willingness to work in all weather conditions.

$18.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
