Job Description

Restoration Technician - Lead Overview This position is responsible for leading restoration and reconstruction efforts on commercial and residential properties that have been damaged by natural disasters such as floods, fires, and tornados. The role involves overseeing the pack-out process, organizing and sorting items for disposal or cleaning, documenting belongings for insurance communication, and leading a reconstruction crew to restore properties. Work sites are typically located in the south suburbs (e.g., Wheaton, Joliet, Blue Island, etc.). Responsibilities Lead restoration and reconstruction efforts on damaged properties. Oversee the pack-out process, ensuring items are organized and sorted for disposal or cleaning. Document belongings to facilitate communication with insurance companies regarding replacements and restorations. Lead a reconstruction crew in tasks such as installing new drywall, replacing basic electrical components, flooring, and painting. Ensure every job is completed with a high standard of quality, making the property look like new. Essential Skills Experience in restoration and reconstruction. Strong communication skills. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or management role. Certifications such as
IIRC, WRT, AMRT, FSRT, OCT
are highly desirable. Skills in electrical, plumbing, tape measuring, power tools, hand tools, cleaning, and demolition are beneficial. Why Work Here?
