Full Job Description Position Summary:
As a Copier / Printer Service Technician, you will provide excellent internal and external customer service including on-site equipment support, phone support, and follow-up. The Service Technician is essential for ensuring we follow customer service and repair standards while performing quality preventative maintenance and service calls for copiers and other equipment as scheduled. In this role, you will learn how to set up new systems, perform routine maintenance, and resolve technical issues. To ensure success as a copier technician, you need great analytical thinking abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ultimately, a top-notch copier technician should demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, and be able to provide customers with in-depth training and support. - Serves customers by identifying needs
- Repair and maintain office equipment by performing diagnostic tests; cleaning, repairing, or replacing parts and components; maintains parts and supplies inventory
- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems
- Plans office equipment service work by studying complaints and requests; planning, routing, and confirming service appointments
- Maintains customer rapport by greeting customers upon arrival at location; understanding equipment complaints
- Ensure service work is not disrupting the daily activities of the organization
- Sets up equipment by delivering, unpacking, assembling, and completing diagnostics; obtaining acceptance by customer
- Install systems and products by ordering and delivering components; programming systems Required Skills for the
Service Technician:
- Mechanical or Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds Preferred Skills for the
Service Technician:
- Past experience repairing printers and copiers
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
