Job Description
Kemper Equipment is currently seeking to immediately hire a full-time Field Service Technician to join our experienced and dedicated team. Summary of Responsibilities:
The role of Kemper Equipment Field Service Technician supports our client base in NY and New England by responding to service calls for routine and emergency service on crushing, screening, washing, and conveying equipment.Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a safe working environment at all times including use of required Personal Protective Equipment Installation, commissioning, training, inspections, repairs, and rebuilds of equipment. Training clients and fellow employees on general maintenance and operation of the equipment. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, ie application, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Leading internal crews and subcontractors in equipment and steel installations on Kemper Projects. Accurately and thoroughly documenting time, repairs, and parts used or needed on daily service reports. When not traveling to worksites, EESSCO in Hanson MA will be the main work location. Other duties as assigned. This position is a physical job demanding long hours of standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching, some twisting, kneeling, and utilizing feet/legs to operate foot controls. This position requires continued lifting up to 55 pounds and occasionally heavier lifting up to 100 pounds. Ongoing and repetitive use of arms/hands/fingers such as fine manipulation, grasping, wrist turns, pushing, pulling, utilizing hand tools, remote controls, levers, etc. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. Field Service Technicians must supply their own basic hand tools. Specialty or heavy-duty items and service truck will be supplied by Kemper.Qualifications:
Proven experience and skills including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, welding, diagnostic, and general maintenance. A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience is desired. Aptitude and interest in machinery and equipment. Service or maintenance experience in quarry and material handling equipment, including rock crushers, screens, feeders, and conveyors. Welding, torching, millwright and steel erection experience is desired. Ability to read schematics and drawings and understand technical manuals and literature. Ability to travel (including some overnights) with our crews as needed to client locations. Typically, Monday through Friday, some weekend work as needed in emergency situations. Ability to work overtime as needed to fulfill workload requirements. Shop fabrication experience, while not required, is a benefit to assist Kemper Manufacturing based on project workload. Must be safety oriented and work in a professional and safe manner MSHA certification required- Kemper will provide training and certification Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay:
$32.00- $45.
