We offer design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for a variety of soil, groundwater and wastewater treatment systems. GWTT provides construction, dewatering, remediation and environment construction services. We offer a challenging growth-oriented work environment, in which the right candidate will have the opportunity to develop and understand the necessary technical and managerial skills to excel in today's competitive market. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Technician at our Millbury, MA location. The Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining various types of process equipment and systems used for water treatment and other environmental remediation activities. The work schedule often includes overtime, occasional night and weekend work, and periodic travel to remote job locations. The primary responsibilities of the Technician include: Understand, apply, and adhere to all safety procedures Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with peers, superiors, and clients Mechanical and process piping installations including but not limited to: equipment placement and anchoring, pipefitting (PVC, HDPE and metallic pipe) and installation of related instrumentation. Extensive use of hand and power tools, and precision test equipment Light welding and application of coatings Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds. Operation of forklifts, aerial lifts and other heavy equipment when required, with appropriate company provided training and certification System start-up and routine operation, monitoring and maintenance activities as assigned OSHA 10hr, 401hr, Hazwoper, Hydraulic license, and WWTO license all desired Three years of experience in the environmental/construction field is preferred although we are willing to train the right individual who is dependable, self-motivated, a team player and goal oriented. Certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator is required within one year of employment Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Dependent on current project demands, travel may be required. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test. OSHA 10-hour, OSHA 40-hour training with current 8 Hour Refresher Training is preferred, but will be provided to the right candidates.
