Field Service Technician Location :
Scarborough, ME About the Role A growing industrial equipment company is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial pumps, air compressors, generators, blowers, and related equipment. This role involves both shop and field service work, providing technical support and ensuring reliable equipment performance for customers across a variety of industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting on industrial pumps, compressors, generators, blowers, and portable diesel equipment Install, inspect, and service related systems and equipment at customer locations Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues Educate customers on equipment operation, maintenance schedules, and spare parts recommendations Maintain strong communication with customers before, during, and after installations and service work Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Properly maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, company vehicles, and service equipment Complete service documentation including labor hours, parts usage, and equipment reports Participate in technical training programs and maintain required certifications Support additional service and operational duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance or equipment service experience preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical instructions Basic computer and math skills Strong communication and customer service abilities General mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques Frequent standing, walking, and use of both hands throughout the workday Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions Exposure to moderate to loud industrial noise levels Ability to work around slippery surfaces and industrial equipment safely What We Offer Opportunity to work with a wide range of industrial equipment and systems Hands-on technical training and career development Stable, growth-oriented work environment Field-based and customer-facing experience with diverse industrial applications
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
