Sensorsysteme GmbH, the leader in innovative solutions for the process analysis of gases, liquids and solids. Unisensor is a family run business that manufacturers globally patented systems for the recycling, beverage and industrial gas industries. We are looking for a home-based Field Service Technician in Southeast Michigan (ideally Metro Detroit / Macomb or Oakland County area). After an initial training period, you will work independeltly from home and travel to customer sites with occasional visits to our office in Adrian, MI.Your responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning, service, and maintenance on our optoelectronic measuring systems at customer sites in the US, Canada and South America.
- Provide hands-on and remote technical support to customers. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, electronis, and software components of our systems.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service.
Your profile:
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Americas (including Canada).
Typical schedulde:
travel to worksite on Monday and return home on Friday. Travel is by car and air.- Familiarity with industrial environments and safety protocols.
- Strong mechanical skills and comfort using basic hand-held tools.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, electronics or electrical engineering.
- Computer hardware knowledge including networking and comfort configuring customer-side PC/HMI interfaces
- Good computer software knowledge (including networking) and ability to configure customer PC/HMI interfaces.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
- Fluency in English is required, Spanish or other language skills a bonus.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
