• Medium to Large Industrial Equipment Direct Hire Must reside within a 1-hour driving distance of a major airport.

$35

• $43/hour base targeted, with significant overtime opportunities. Technicians typically earn between ~$75,000
• $180,000+, depending on hours worked and travel. Kelly Engineering is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team. This role is responsible for machine startup, repair, and maintenance on medium
• to large-sized industrial equipment at customer sites.

What You'll Do:

Install, commission, repair, and maintain automated machinery at customer sites (electrical and mechanical) Troubleshoot and optimize equipment to meet contracted efficiency rates; perform audits, upgrades, and operator training Document all service activity (installations, repairs, commissioning, upgrades) in detailed reports Recommend upgrades, retrofits, and spare parts to improve safety, performance, and reliability Train customer personnel during installation, commissioning, and maintenance Adapt to varying environments and resolve issues quickly in the field

What You'll Need:

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to read drawings and schematics Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and servo systems preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer-facing skills; able to train and support operators and leadership Self-motivated and able to work independently

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or associate degree in a technical field preferred 3+ years of field service experience, ideally with industrial equipment
