Purpose of the position Purpose of the Position The Field Service Technician will be responsible for in-house and on-site installation, commissioning, technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of electro-mechanical measuring devices. Ability to solve broad technical problems. Contributes to efficient startup and operation of Kistler equipment. Your typical day Main Tasks Provide service and support to customers via on-site visits, phone, email, and technical reporting. Maintain knowledge of new and existing products/applications. Perform on-site installation, configuration, setup, and maintenance on electronic devices and electro-mechanical systems. Read schematics, mechanical drawings, test procedures, and product definitions. Train and certify customers on Kistler equipment installation and use. Your profile Requirements Profile Associate in applied science degree or equivalent. Experience operating and testing electronic instrumentation. Experience in calibration theory and techniques for measurement devices. Basic mechanical aptitude. Understanding of 24 V DC control circuits. Ability to read schematics. Experience applying force, pressure, and torque transducers. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license and passport. Ability to work independently and manage own workload. Strong electronics knowledge with prior experience testing electronic instrumentation and operating test equipment. Authorized to work in the US. Able to travel on short notice (including overnight/weekend and occasional international).
Physical:
sit/stand, computer use 80% of day, drive, lift 50 lbs. Able to work in factories, near highways, day/night, varied weather, elevated/uneven surfaces. Safety focused.
