About the Role As a Field Service Technician specializing in commercial entryways, you will be the primary expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of industrial door systems. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude to ensure facility security and operational efficiency while delivering high-quality service solutions to our diverse client base. Responsibilities Execute precise installation and repair of commercial doors, frames, and specialized hardware to ensure peak performance. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, implementing cost-effective solutions that minimize facility downtime. Configure and integrate advanced access control systems, locks, and closers to meet specific security requirements. Verify that all site work adheres strictly to building codes and safety regulations to protect both users and property. Maintain detailed service logs and technical documentation to track project progress and ensure accountability. Provide professional, clear communication to clients regarding repair status and recommended long-term maintenance strategies. Perform rigorous quality assurance inspections on completed projects to uphold high workmanship standards. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Proven ability to operate hand and power tools with precision. Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency with fractions and tape measure accuracy. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and perform tasks requiring kneeling or bending. Preferred Skills 2+ years of experience in commercial door service or related mechanical trades. Familiarity with various door brands, hollow metal systems, and storefront glazing. Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and complex problem-solving within a field service environment.
