  • Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled Field Service Technician to provide onsite technical support to our clients.
This role is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of IT hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Service Desk and engineering teams. The goal of this position is to ensure client technology operates efficiently, issues are resolved promptly, and exceptional customer service is delivered during every interaction. Responsibilities Respond to assigned onsite service requests in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and peripheral issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware. Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Windows operating systems and business applications. Install and troubleshoot network equipment including switches, wireless access points, and firewalls. Perform workstation setups, equipment replacements, office moves, and new user deployments. Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other productivity applications. Support Active Directory user administration including password resets, user accounts, and group memberships. Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers while documenting troubleshooting steps and findings. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, resolutions, and time entries within the ticketing system. Communicate technical information to end users in a clear and professional manner. Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks. Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and equipment replacements. Follow company security policies and industry best practices. Participate in after-hours or on-call support rotation as required. Continuously develop technical knowledge through training and certifications. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in IT support or field service Experience supporting small to medium-sized business environments. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365. Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), and basic Group Policy administration. Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking. Experience supporting printers, scanners, VoIP phones, and other business technology. Familiarity with RMM and PSA platforms (such as ConnectWise, NinjaOne, Datto RMM, or similar) is preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple service requests while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work under desks, in server closets, and other technical environments. Work Environment This position primarily works at customer locations throughout the service area, with occasional work performed remotely or from the office. A company vehicle may be provided based on business needs.
