Field Service Technician

• Minneapolis, MN Our client, a leading injection molding equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the team.

The Field Service Technician will travel to customer locations within a designated territory to install, commission, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade injection molding presses and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

Perform installation, set-up, commissioning, and startup of injection molding machinery and injection molding pressesDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine controls issuesPerform equipment repairs, adjustments, upgrades, and preventative maintenanceTroubleshoot injection molding equipment and diagnose machine performance and operating issuesRead and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering drawingsProvide technical support and equipment training to customers and internal sales personnelDocument field service activities, repairs, maintenance, and equipment issues

Qualifications:

5+ years hands on experience servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, or commissioning injection molding machineryAdvanced knowledge of the plastics injection molding process from start to finishExperience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues on injection molding equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawingsAbility to travel upwards of 50% within designated territory

Compensation:

Base salary (paid hourly) in the 35.00
