$18-$20 hourly
Position Overview:
The Vision Companies is seeking an experienced Water Damage Lead Technician to join a growing restoration team in Ramsey, MN. This position is responsible for leading mitigation projects, coordinating restoration activities, and working directly with Environmental Project Managers to restore residential and commercial properties affected by water damage. The ideal candidate has restoration, demolition, or construction experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Mitigation & Restoration Lead water mitigation and structural drying projects from start to finish Perform demolition, cleanup, and restoration activities using hand and power tools Set up, monitor, document, and remove drying equipment Measure, cut, and shape materials as needed during restoration projects Conduct quality inspections of completed work Ensure projects meet company standards and customer expectations Project Coordination Work directly with Environmental Project Managers on active projects Maintain accurate project documentation and moisture readings Communicate project progress with homeowners and customers Assist in coordinating crews and job site activities Ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope Leadership & Safety Train and mentor less experienced technicians Promote a safe and productive work environment Follow all company safety standards and restoration protocols Ensure proper use of PPE and restoration equipment
Qualifications:
Required Previous water damage restoration, mitigation, construction, or demolition experience Basic carpentry and interior demolition skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotations Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred IICRC certifications Water mitigation and structural drying experience Leadership or crew lead experience Construction or restoration industry certifications
Working Conditions:
Residential and commercial restoration environments Indoor and outdoor work settings Exposure to water-damaged structures and restoration conditions Fast-paced environment with emergency response situations Overtime and on-call work as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting Ability to operate restoration equipment, hand tools, and power tools Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
