Job Description

About the Role As a Field Service Technician specializing in CNC systems, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring precision performance for our diverse client base. By leveraging your expertise in electrical diagnostics and mechanical repair, you will drive operational efficiency and deliver high-quality support for complex manufacturing environments. Responsibilities Execute the installation, preventative maintenance, and complex repair of multi-axis CNC milling and turning centers. Diagnose and resolve intricate electrical and mechanical failures to restore machine functionality rapidly. Empower clients by providing comprehensive technical training on machine operation, setup, and routine maintenance protocols. Partner with internal engineering teams to implement reliability improvements and optimize machine output. Maintain rigorous documentation of all service interventions to ensure accurate equipment history and performance tracking. Uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance during all on-site service engagements. Required Skills Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Precision Machining, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated expertise in CNC machine repair, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics. Proficiency with Fanuc controls, CNC programming, and machine setup/changeover processes. Strong grasp of electrical systems, including 120/208/240/480 voltage environments. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering superior customer service. Ability to travel to various client facilities to provide on-site technical support. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with VMC (3-4 axis) and CNC lathe systems from major manufacturers like Haas, DMG Mori, or Kitamura. Familiarity with Fanuc-based CNC automation solutions and integration. Proven ability to interpret complex technical schematics and blueprints.
