About the
Opportunity Field Service Technician Location:
Midwest / Regional Travel Required (50-75%)

Full-Time Overview This role is best suited for technically strong, hands-on professionals with experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems. The strongest candidates often come from adjacent fields such as industrial maintenance, automation, electronics repair, controls, biomedical service, or manufacturing equipment support—not strictly laboratory environments. This position offers regional travel, independent field work, and strong technical variety supporting critical healthcare and diagnostic operations. •Training is provided•You will support equipment from leading manufacturers including Leica Biosystems, Sakura Finetek, and Thermo Fisher Scientific (Epredia portfolio), ensuring high uptime in clinical and research settings. Key Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on complex diagnostic and lab equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in the field Respond to service calls with a focus on minimizing customer downtime Provide on-site technical support and end-user training Document service work, diagnostics, and equipment performance Coordinate parts, loaners, and service logistics with internal teams Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards Qualifications Experience in field service, industrial maintenance, biomedical equipment, electronics, or electro-mechanical repair preferred Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems Ability to work independently in a regional travel role Strong communication and customer-facing service skills Experience in healthcare, laboratory, or manufacturing environments is a plus
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year (based on years of experience)
