LTI GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE
The Sr Service Technician position is responsible for providing customer service and maintenance functions to Loram customers within a specific region. Maintaining unit uptime to customer expectations is critical to customer satisfaction, railroad fuel economy, and railroad's wheel/rail life.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Functional/Technical Skills Service top of rail and gauge face lubricator units to specified guidelines. Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers. Uses logic and methods to solve problems to find effective solutions. Understand and adhere to general railroad and Loram operating rules. Managing and Measuring Work Manage inventory held on maintenance vehicle through company processes. Plans work based on length and task difficulty, develops schedules, and anticipates and adjusts for problems to meet objectives. Able to work independently. Written Communication Process work orders and complete all necessary delivery tickets, warranty paperwork, and returns through approved company processes. Proactive problem resolution Customer Focus Build customer and supplier relations for improved products and services. Work with Sales Department to ensure customer expectations are met.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
1+ years of Field service experience with customer facing role 2+ years working in a railroad environment, Field service, and Basic computer skills
Licenses/Certifications:
Maintain railroad safety training and certifications Currently hold be able to maintain a DOT medical card
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical
PREEMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and role-specific assessments. Components may include DOT Physical Exam, Regulated (DOT) DS/BAT, Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), and Audiogram. Position requires successful completion of an eVerifile/eRailSafe background check as required by Loram's railroad customers. Ongoing eligibility is subject to compliance with eRailSafe standards . Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted upon hire and annually thereafter in accordance with Loram's Driving Policy . Successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
