  • Job Summary:
  • Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer's site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in (Charlotte, NC) We offer up to $5000 sign-on bonus to external candidates, relocation, competitive pay and benefits! In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Completing repair activities on generators or components

+ Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner

+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

+ Maintain detailed records of service

+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

+ Maintain own tools In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

+ High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.

+ Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision

  • hands on exposure to working on power generation products. + Basic Diesel Engine experience. + Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components. + Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation. Education, or Experience Preferences that are nice to have
  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Current relevant electrical certification Locally valid driving permit This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Experience:
  • Basic level field service work experience Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience Customer service experience

  • Salary rate commensurate with experience.
