This role is responsible for assisting with wiring, lighting, device installation, and system connections across commercial job sites. While the position may assist with general construction tasks as needed, the core emphasis is on electrical work performed during the later phases of construction. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical aptitude, experience working with power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Responsibilities Install and support electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, outlets, switches, and low-voltage components in new construction environments. Assist with rough-in and finish electrical work, including pulling wire, running conduit, mounting boxes, and terminating connections. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete installations accurately and efficiently. Use power tools and electrical testing equipment safely to complete installations and verify system functionality. Support final-phase construction activities, ensuring electrical systems are properly installed, tested, and ready for inspection. Collaborate with project leadership and team members to coordinate electrical work within overall construction timelines. Maintain and organize tools, materials, and equipment necessary for electrical installations. Travel to job sites, including overnight stays, to support ongoing electrical projects as required. Follow all safety standards, electrical codes, and site protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Assist with limited cross-trade tasks (HVAC, carpentry, installation) as needed, with a primary focus remaining on electrical work. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, with hands-on exposure to electrical or low-voltage work preferred. Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, including wiring, conduit, and device installation. Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment. Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings. Accurate measurement skills, including reading a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch. Familiarity with commercial construction environments and job site expectations. Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced, field-based setting. Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as projects require. Ownership of basic hand tools and electrical tools preferred. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a small crew. Reliable and flexible with scheduling, including early start times and extended workweeks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with low-voltage systems such as data, communications, or control wiring. Exposure to commercial electrical installations, including lighting systems and panel work. Familiarity with final-phase (finish) electrical work and system commissioning. Working knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices. Ability to transition from general construction support into more specialized electrical responsibilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality installations. Why Work Here?
