About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of critical commercial kitchen and facility systems. You will enjoy autonomy in the field, utilizing your diagnostic expertise to resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues while maintaining high performance standards for our clients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. Execute timely resolutions to service requests, ensuring all equipment operates at peak efficiency. Coordinate with technical support teams and equipment manufacturers to identify parts and troubleshoot complex system failures. Maintain precise documentation of all service activities, including work orders, inventory management, and time reporting. Ensure the service vehicle remains organized and fully stocked with necessary components for efficient field operations. Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry best practices to minimize risk during all maintenance tasks. Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current with evolving equipment technologies and service standards. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade-related maintenance, specifically within kitchen, HVAC, or facility systems. Current EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex diagrams and schematics. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate service vehicles safely. Proficiency in mobile service applications and standard office software for reporting. Preferred Skills Formal technical trade school education or equivalent vocational training. Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems, process controls, or mechanical power transmission. Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with vendors and site operators.
