Equipment Technician

Summary SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team in support of our manufacturing facility in Greenville, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned front-end or back-end equipment critical to our production processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that assigned front-end or back-end process equipment is functioning properly, including performing calibration, setup, and commissioning as needed. Conduct equipment commissioning based on requirements from production, quality, and process teams to support qualified output. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, performing repairs when possible or coordinating with specialized technicians as needed. Operate equipment in strict accordance with safety standards and procedures . Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respond effectively to equipment-related emergencies. Monitor and record abnormal equipment data to support continuous improvement and optimization efforts. Provide technical support and training to new personnel on equipment operation and maintenance. Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION

Associate degree in science and engineering related disciplines such as physics, electronics and mechanical.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of related experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing environments. Experience with front-end or back-end equipment in the solar or similar manufacturing industry preferred. SKILLS Proficient in the use of mechanical maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment . Strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting . Familiarity with manufacturing equipment management systems and processes .
