About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a vital expert in maintaining the operational integrity of commercial entry systems and industrial loading docks. By leveraging your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, you will ensure that our clients' facilities remain secure, functional, and compliant with safety standards. Responsibilities Execute precise installations and repairs on a wide range of commercial doors, dock levelers, and specialized hardware. Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical failures, implementing effective solutions to minimize client downtime. Configure and integrate advanced access control systems, low-voltage components, and automated entry hardware. Ensure all site work adheres strictly to building codes and rigorous safety regulations. Deliver exceptional on-site support by clearly communicating repair status and technical recommendations to facility managers. Document service activities and maintenance logs to maintain accurate records of equipment health. Perform comprehensive quality inspections to guarantee that every installation meets high-performance benchmarks. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial door or industrial hardware service. Proven proficiency with hand and power tools, including the ability to perform accurate mathematical measurements. Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders up to 20 feet, and work in varied physical positions. Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening. Preferred Skills Active AAADM certification. Experience with welding or metal fabrication. Background in electrical diagnostics or low-voltage system integration. Familiarity with hollow metal door and frame installation.
