Position Summary This position provides on-site maintenance support and corrective repairs on machinery, equipment, and vehicles at various job site locations. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system repairs on company machinery and equipment out in the field at job sites. Operates equipped service truck with OE level diagnostic software. May assist other mechanics in a support role at the shop when needed. Performs all work in accordance with schedules, policies, procedures and standards of quality and safety. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or
Experience:
Associates degree in diesel or automotive technology; and 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Driver's License.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must provide own tools of the trade. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Must be able to operate with minimal supervision, be a trouble shooter and take initiative to investigate and resolve problems. Must be able to work well with others. Must be flexible regarding work assignments and demonstrate willingness to perform other support duties during non busy times. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
