  • Summary
  • The Field Service Technician, AMS Rotator Senior is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing natural gas compression equipment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. This position will work closely with external customers and internal team members to ensure that all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • + Coordinates and performs the job activities in a manner consistent with Kodiak's procedures, goals, andobjectives.
+ Required to troubleshoot some complex repairs and major equipment overhauls. + Builds andmaintainscustomer relationships. + Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of compressor system failures. + Optimizecompression equipment performance. + Completes the proper reports and actions required by the area's operating procedures/policies. + Analyzes the job parts and supply inventory to effectively communicate with Supply Chain, ensuring a sufficient level of parts foroptimaljob performance. + Prioritize repair work when there are competing demands. + Assess repair/replacement needs andidentifythe best solution. + Perform consistent inspections and maintenance of unitsto proactivelyensure unit health. + Provides 24/7 coverage for the duration of each 14-day shift. + Works overtime and is available for on-call rotations. Overtime and on-call requirements include work after regular work, hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • s•+ High school diploma or equivalent + Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.
  • Work Experience
  • + 5+ years of compressor maintenance or related industry experiencerequired.
+ Caterpillar
G3600/G3500
Natural Gas Engine experience preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities
  • + Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. + Proficiencyin using diagnostic tools and equipment. + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Good communicationand teamwork skills.
  • Physical Demands
  • + Requires operation of heavy equipment.
+ Requiresemployeeto stand for up to 75% of the time. + Requiresemployeeto climb ladders or stairs. + Intermittent lifting of > 50lbs from the ground. + High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection. + Potential, controlled, exposure to hazardous chemicals. + Requires work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold. + Overtime,extended,or non-traditional working hours may berequired. + Requires moving andmaintainingself indifferent positions—stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl toaccomplishtasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. + Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. + Requires an employee tofrequentlytype and use computer and other office equipment such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc. \#seniorfieldservicetechnician _Kodiak Gas Services is an
