Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Water Restoration Technician to oversee and execute water damage mitigation projects. This position involves leading a team of technicians, managing job sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong background in water damage restoration, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage water damage restoration projects from start to finish Supervise and train junior technicians on proper mitigation techniques and safety procedures Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and mold remediation as needed Monitor moisture levels using industry-standard equipment (e.g., hygrometers, thermal imaging, moisture meters) Set up and monitor drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers Maintain accurate and timely job documentation, including photos, readings, and notes in company software Communicate with customers to explain the restoration process and answer questions Coordinate with insurance adjusters, project managers, and other stakeholders as needed Ensure all work is performed in compliance with IICRC standards and company protocols Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency services
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications required
IICRC WRT
(Water Restoration Technician) certification, ASD (Applied Structural Drying) certification, AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician) certifications required Minimum 2-3 years of experience in water damage restoration Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
