About the role: CSI is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel to customer sites (50%-70%) to install, commission, and service control panels and automation systems. Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and panel integration Conduct system troubleshooting—both hardware and software—on-site and remotely Modify and troubleshoot basic Allen-Bradley PLC programs as needed Work directly with customers to identify and resolve system issues and ensure satisfaction. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Document service activities, system updates, and field modifications accurately Maintain a professional attitude and communication with customers and team members Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of experience in panel building, electrical systems, or industrial automation Proficiency with electrical schematics, control wiring, and panel layout Basic experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix / Studio 5000) for programming and troubleshooting Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills—hardware and software Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with others Excellent communication and customer service skills. Willingness and ability to travel 50%-70% (domestic and/or international) Valid driver's license, eligible to obtain passport. ability to meet travel requirements
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with HMI programming (FactoryTalk, PanelView, etc.) Familiarity with VFDs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc.) OSHA or electrical safety training Experience in system commissioning or field service environments Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
