Position Overview The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and related equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach, and the ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems in industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Perform CMM maintenance, including diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and retrofits to ensure machines meet factory specifications and accuracy standards Provide technical support to customers and other service team members Perform mechanical work including assembly, disassembly, leveling, and repair of automated equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control system issues Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of metrology equipment such as Ballbar systems, gage blocks, and XC80 laser systems Maintain and support internal office CMM equipment as needed Assist in preparing service-related quotes for calibration, repair, and replacement parts Qualifications Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills Experience working with CMM equipment from manufacturers such as Wenzel, Brown & Sharpe, DEA, LK, Mitutoyo, and Zeiss Knowledge of ISO 10360 and
ASME B89
calibration standards and requirements Strong time management skills and ability to work independently in the field Commitment to completing work accurately and on schedule Additional Requirements Ability to travel up to 50% to customer locations across the United States Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis, including overnight stays as required Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently
Pay:
$26.52 - $31.93 per hour
