Independent 1099 Facility Maintenance Technician HMCB is seeking experienced and dependable Independent 1099 Maintenance Technicians to support commercial facility maintenance and repair services in your area. We are looking for skilled professionals with strong handyman experience and working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems. Position Responsibilities Perform general handyman repairs and maintenance services for commercial facilities Diagnose and complete basic to intermediate electrical repairs and replacements Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, valves, drains, and related components Complete preventative maintenance tasks and on demand reactive services Install, repair or replace light fixtures, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, and other facility components Perform minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and ceiling tile repairs as needed Respond to emergency maintenance calls during afterhours and weekends when required Accurately document completed work orders, materials used, and job status updates Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, and dispatch coordinators Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards Manage service schedules efficiently while maintaining response time expectations Identify additional repair needs and report facility concerns proactively Requirements Proven experience in handyman, electrical, and plumbing work Must have your own tools and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently Must be available for afterhours, weekend, and emergency service requests Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Professional appearance and communication skills Valid driver's license and current insurance required Smartphone or tablet for work order communication and updates Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial facility maintenance Experience working with work order management or dispatch systems HVAC, locksmith, or additional trade experience is a plus OSHA or trade certifications preferred but not required Multi trade experience highly preferred About
