Full-Time About the Position We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Technician to join our growing team in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) industry. This position involves traveling to power plants, manufacturing facilities, refineries, wastewater treatment plants, and other industrial sites to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair emissions monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and traveling to customer sites while providing exceptional service and support. Responsibilities Travel to customer facilities, including power generation plants, manufacturing facilities, chemical plants, and other industrial locations. Install, commission, calibrate, and maintain CEMS equipment and associated instrumentation. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and analytical system issues. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on emissions monitoring systems. Conduct analyzer calibrations and verification testing. Complete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and customer documentation. Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, company policies, and site safety requirements. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and customers to resolve technical issues efficiently. Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Experience in industrial maintenance, instrumentation, electrical systems, environmental monitoring, or related technical field. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to travel 60-80% of the time, including overnight travel. Employees using their personal vehicle for business-related travel will receive mileage reimbursement in accordance with company policy, paid on a monthly basis.
Preferred:
Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Environmental Science, or related field. Experience with CEMS, process analyzers, industrial controls, PLCs, or environmental compliance equipment. Knowledge of EPA regulations and emissions monitoring requirements. Experience working in power plants, manufacturing facilities, refineries, or similar industrial environments. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and accessing industrial equipment. Ability to work in various weather conditions and industrial environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
