  • $75,000 base salary, depending on experience A leading provider of industrial equipment and engineered solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to support extrusion and thermal processing systems.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong technical skills who enjoys travel, working directly with customers, and solving complex mechanical and process challenges. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and commission industrial equipment and systems Perform inspections, validation, and performance testing on mechanical, electrical, and automation systems Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues during installation, startup, and service calls Monitor site progress, oversee subcontractors, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards Prepare field reports, commissioning documentation, and technical records Provide training and technical support to customers and operators Maintain tools, service equipment, and field readiness Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field, or equivalent technical experience At least 3 years of field service, commissioning, or industrial equipment experience Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy or process equipment Working knowledge of electrical systems and industrial processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently in a travel-heavy role Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field service tools Additional Details Travel up to 70% required Based in Lexington, NC when not traveling Spanish language skills are a plus Benefits Company contributions toward medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums Tax-advantaged Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for medical expenses Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for dependent care expenses Company-paid contributions to 401(k), disability, and life insurance Complimentary personal financial planning support Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Flexible work and work-from-home options (role-dependent) Reimbursement programs for personal and professional growth For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
