In this energetic role, you will respond swiftly to emergency calls, assess damage, and execute effective mitigation strategies to prevent further destruction. Your expertise will help homeowners and businesses recover quickly while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in restoration, flood and fire damage repair, mold remediation, and customer service—all while working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Respond promptly to emergency water damage and flood restoration calls, providing expert mitigation services on-site. Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, mold remediation, and cleaning using specialized equipment such as pumps, extractors, air movers, and moisture meters. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and Xactimate (a software for estimating restoration costs) to accurately assess damage and document repair needs. Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection gear. Assist with fire restoration projects by cleaning soot and smoke damage and restoring affected areas with precision. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including photographs, reports, and estimates for insurance claims processing. Support team efforts with on-call coverage for emergency response situations outside regular hours. Skills Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to act swiftly under pressure. Proven experience in water damage restoration, flood restoration, mold remediation, and fire restoration techniques. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection to ensure personal safety and compliance. Construction experience or familiarity with building materials enhances your ability to perform repairs effectively. Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients during stressful situations. Ability to operate a variety of tools such as hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and Xactimate software for estimating costs. Valid company vehicle operation license with a clean driving record preferred.
