Job Summary Join our team as a Water Meter Technician, where you will play a vital role in installing and servicing water meter systems & collecting critical data across our municipal partners. Advancement Requirements:
2 years of related experience in Plumbing, Metering, Pipe Fitting, Irrigation or HVAC, but we will train the right person! Valid driver's license & insured vehicle to use in the course of your work OSHA Certified, 1st Aid, CPR & AED (Will Train) Reliable, Professional & available full time Available to travel upon project completions High proficiency utilizing handheld devices & software applications for data collection Background & driving record checks •Municipal, local & federal contractor. Must pass a background check for employment & security check for badging. Duties Install, inspect, survey, replace water meters, lines, check valves, valves & service lines at residential, commercial, and industrial sites with precision and care Perform routine installations & surveys to optimize system performance Utilize utility locating techniques to identify meter pit locations & underground water lines before excavation or repair work Install, repair or replace equipment using a variety of hand tools & power tools. Collect data & images with handheld devices Locate, Pull, adjust or replace meter pit boxes Connect meter & endpoint wiring as instructed to complete activations Conduct wire connection troubleshooting on meter, endpoint & antenna components to diagnose read/connection/activation issues effectively Skills Plumbing knowledge combined with technical experience to troubleshoot installation issues Proficiency with handheld devices, Apps, hand tools, power tools, field service equipment necessary for installation, services and repairs Experience with utility locating techniques to accurately locate meter boxes & identify issues (Plumbing recognition) Familiarity with equipment repair processes and preventative routines Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical challenges in the field This role offers a vibrant work environment where your skills will make a tangible impact on community water services. Pay:
$750.00 - $1,200.00 per week
