Job Description
OVERVIEW
The Lead Mitigation Technician is responsible for cleaning water and fire damaged commercial and residential properties. This person would handle demolition work, structure cleaning, move in/move outs, and many other construction related duties. The Lead Mitigation Technician is the first line of customer service and will be in charge of getting paperwork completed by the homeowner, taking daily readings and pictures, and will lead the restoration project. Will also be expected to be able to set up and monitor equipment and be able to calculate the proper amount and type of equipment for each restoration project. To be successful, you must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, professional appearance, excellent customer service skills, and be available to work weekends and evenings as necessary. You must also be skilled and proficient with drywall, patching, and painting projects, be detail-oriented and follow procedures in documenting all work done.SUPERVISION AND EXERCISE RECEIVED
Receives direct or general supervision from Operations Manager and Office Manager. Oversight and supervision of the Team Coordinator and Accounting Team Lead.EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Extract water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment
- Assist in determining the most effective way to dry the affect materials
- Perform demolition after fire, water/flood, mold, or storm damage
- Remove carpets, carpet pads, drywall, and insulation
- Haul debris from jobsite to truck as well as moving customer contents away from work area as needed
- Handle water extraction and removal of water damaged materials
- Staging drying equipment
- Perform cleaning duties for structural fires with the aid of equipment
- Running and successfully completing deadlines for content and cleaning projects
- Tracking drying progress with a proprietary software program
- Prepping trucks and equipment for emergencies
- Assess and attend to damage at a Clients property
- Set-up and monitor equipment
- Take pictures and document progress of loss
- Perform demolition of loss (if necessary)
- Be safe and follow guidelines established through industry standards
- Ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Other duties as assigned Ability to:

- Work on call and in all emergency situations as needed

- Meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer service

- Read and interpret Xactimate estimates
- Read and write in the English language
- General mathematical skills and application
- Apply safety procedures and principles on a daily basis and protect yourself and others from injury
Knowledge of:
- Industry software: Xactimate, About Time, Contractor Connection, Dash, Luxor, Xact Analysis, and other similar programs
- Proficient on a mobile smart phone device
- Developing and presenting creative solutions
- The company ethics, image, and goals and how they shall be reflected in the day to day job duties of you and your staff
- All policies and procedures of the Company, ability to apply and understand
- OSHA safety regulations of the industry and provide an active role in monitoring the safety of yourself and other team members
- Laws, rules, and regulations that govern the areas of your job
- Industry knowledge and the ability to seek knowledge if new to the industry
- Training and developing skills of team members
- Carpet cleaning, fire/smoke damage restoration, sewage or water damage mitigation, and/or mold remediation services
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years' experience in restoration work preferred
- Familiar with variety or industry's concepts, practices, and procedures
LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- WRT and ASD certifications
- Knowledge of industry software: Xacimate, About Time, Contractor Connection, Dash, Luxor, Xact Analysis, and other similar programs
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs., necessary to perform job functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is routinely required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell.WORKING CONDITIONS
Employees work in an office environment and outside. Inside with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions, which vary from extreme cold to extreme hot. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.Work Remotely No Job Type:
