Pay:
$18.00-$55.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Summary Chill Power is seeking a motivated and experienced Generator Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will travel to customer sites to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain power generation equipment while identifying opportunities for additional services and repairs. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and is comfortable traveling for extended periods. Responsibilities Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on power generation equipment. Use multimeters and other diagnostic equipment to accurately identify equipment issues. Able to work on Caterpillar (CAT) and MQ (Multiquip) generators and related systems. Generate service leads by identifying repair, maintenance, and replacement opportunities. Complete service reports and communicate findings with customers and management. Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards. Travel to customer job sites as needed , including overnight travel for up to one week at a time. Operate and maintain a company-provided work truck. Qualifications 3+ years of experience working with Caterpillar (CAT) and MQ (Multiquip) generators preferred. Ability to use multimeters and diagnostic equipment effectively. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain access to secured job sites (clean criminal background required). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Requirements Willing and able to travel, including overnight trips of up to one week. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Ability to work safely around electrical and mechanical equipment. Must pass background screening and any site-specific security requirements.
