Full-Time About Us WOW Total Cleaning & Restoration is a locally owned restoration company serving Austin and the surrounding areas. We help residential and commercial customers recover from water damage, mold, fire, and other property emergencies. We are looking for an experienced Mitigation Technician who takes pride in doing quality work, communicates professionally with customers and teammates, and is ready to grow with our company. Position Summary As a Mitigation Technician, you will perform water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleanup, demolition, equipment setup, and other restoration-related services. This is a hands-on field position , and previous restoration or mitigation experience is required. Responsibilities Respond to residential and commercial water damage and restoration projects Perform water extraction and structural drying Set up, monitor, move, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment Take and document moisture readings Perform controlled demolition, including removal of drywall, insulation, flooring, baseboards, cabinets, and other affected materials when necessary Set up containment barriers and maintain clean, organized work areas Assist with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup projects Clean and disinfect affected areas according to company procedures Take job-site photos and properly document work performed Load, unload, clean, and maintain company equipment and vehicles Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, adjusters, and other team members Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices Participate in after-hours or emergency response when scheduled Required Qualifications Previous experience in water mitigation, restoration, mold remediation, or a similar field is required Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required Ability to safely operate company vehicles Knowledge of water extraction, structural drying, moisture detection, and mitigation equipment Ability to perform demolition and other physically demanding restoration work Ability to lift approximately 50-75 lbs. Comfortable working in hot, humid, dusty, or confined work environments when necessary Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Must be available for occasional after-hours and emergency work Preferred Qualifications IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification Mold remediation experience Fire and smoke restoration experience Experience with restoration documentation software Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus What We Look For At WOW Total Cleaning & Restoration, our team operates around five core values: Honesty
