Job Description

  • Job Overview:
  • We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with industrial equipment and CNC machines.
  • Conduct inspections and test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Use welding equipment to fabricate and repair equipment and machinery.
  • Utilize an ammeter to measure electrical currents and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and provide detailed reports to management.
  • Collaborate with customers to determine their needs and provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform work in accordance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology preferred.
  • Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or field service technician.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with experience working on CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with welding and the ability to fabricate and repair equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to operate an ammeter and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced field service environment with exposure to industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel to remote locations as needed.
  • Military background is a plus.
